Office 365 Add-ins

Bring AgentFormers agents directly into Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The add-in connects your documents to the AgentFormers platform without leaving the Office suite.

Install

Office on the web

The easiest option. Works in any browser, no desktop install required.

  1. Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint at office.com
  2. Go to Home → Add-ins → Advanced, the button for Add-ins is towards the right of the toolbar
  3. Select the Upload My Add-in link
  4. Download and upload the manifest XML for your app: Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
Windows

Trust Center requires a local folder or network share path.

  1. Download the manifest for your app: Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
  2. Place the file in a dedicated folder, e.g. in Documents/OfficeAddins
  3. Right click this folder and select Properties
  4. Copy the path in the Location field, e.g., \\ad.helsinki.fi\home\c\myuseraccount\Documents\OfficeAddins
  5. In any Office desktop app, click File → Options → Trust Center → Trust Center Settings
  6. Select Trusted Add-in Catalogs and enter the copied folder path as the catalog URL
  7. Enable Show in Menu, then click Add Catalog
  8. Restart Office, then go to Insert → Get Add-ins → Shared Folder
  9. Select the AgentFormers add-in and click Add
macOS

Mac Office has no catalog URL dialog. Download the manifest and place it in the app's wef folder.

  1. Download the manifest for your app: Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
  2. In Finder press Cmd + Shift + G and navigate to the folder for your app:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/Documents/wef
    ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Documents/wef
    ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Powerpoint/Data/Documents/wef
  3. Create the wef folder if it does not exist, then copy the manifest XML into it
  4. Restart the Office app, open a document, then: Home → Add-ins

LibreOffice Extension

Native extension for Writer, Calc and Impress. Brings AgentFormers agents directly into the open document suite.

Install

  1. Download oasis-assistant.oxt
  2. Open any LibreOffice app (Writer, Calc, or Impress)
  3. Go to Tools → Extensions…
  4. Click Add and browse to the downloaded .oxt file
  5. Restart LibreOffice, and the AgentFormers sidebar will appear, or you can select the Oasis Assistant menu bar option to open the sidebar
